Gateway: Worked out well, never had severe grip issues in cornering, but would seem to {arbitrairily} loose grip pretty extremely under braking.  That loss of grip was a pretty big confidence killer in terms of late braking and picking up on times.  I could have certainly gone a little easier on them taking one hot lap and one cool down alternatively, but for how things were going and that it was the first event of the season, it seemed to make more sense just to run about 80% all the time.  Remember, these tires were older – I think purchased in the summer of… wow, was it 2007?  So they did have some age (but still plenty of life)
